Description

Unfortunately Conservation expert Jane Foley’s lecture 'Decay mechanisms in public sculpture' to include those of painted steel or copper’ will now take place in June 2017 (date to be confirmed).

Brian Hall of Hall Conservation, who are the appointed contractors conserving Sea Music, will still be speaking on 1st March (2pm-3-30pm) about the Sea Music conservation process. Venue: Poole Museum, 5th floor (lift access)

There will also be the chance to go behind the hoarding and look at the start of the conservation process on Sea Music. Venue: Poole Quay – please note there is no disabled access to Sea Music. This is a working site, adult access only (no children).

Artists and those interested in finding out about artistic process are invited to hear Sea Music Artist in Residence Jonathan Parsons discuss how he developed his work in response to Sea Music during his residency at Poole Museum. He will also talk about next steps in making the work for exhibition in October 2017.
